By invitation, Vallejo Choral Society will join other Bay Area choirs to perform Vaughan Williams’ Dona Nobis Pacem at Carnegie Hall in New York City. 

The performance will be Sunday, June 22, 2025, under the direction of Eric Choate—a friend and favorite VCS workshop clinician and a colleague and mentor of Julia’s.

Package includes:

  • 5 days/4 nights hotel stay at 4-star midtown Manhattan hotel (e.g. Sheraton Times Square, or Hilton Midtown, or Park Central, or similar
  • Transportation within Manhattan for all rehearsals, concert, and post-concert celebration
  • Post-concert cruise sail around Manhattan with buffet dinner, music, dancing (Spirit of New York or Spirit of New Jersey)
  • All hotel tips, gratuities, and baggage handling
  • All rehearsal and concert related bus transportation
  • 8 ½” x 11” print of marquee poster
  • Non-performers complimentary ticket to concert and opportunity to attend all rehearsals

  • Airfare and airport transfers are not included in the residency package
  • Additional hotel stays before or after the residency prior are the responsibility of the individual.
  • High-school age is recommended minimum for performers. At least 1 adult chaperon for every 10 students.
  • No age limit for non-performers, although children under 5 may not enjoy the concert or cruise.
  • Non-residency guests may be invited for the cruise if space is available, at a cost of $189.

  • All deposits and payments are non-refundable.
  • VCS must confirm the number of attendees, performers and non-performers by the first deadline.
  • Room grid for room requests and group airfare requests are due by the second deadline. Participants and non-participants may be added on or before this date.
  • VCS must provide the security list, rooming list, and flight list are due by the third deadline.
  • These due dates are a week in advance of the due dates published on the production company website. This allows time for VCS to process and delivery timely to meet the required deadlines.

AIR TRANSPORTATION

If we have a group of 15 or larger, we can secure group air travel arrangements through the recommended, experienced provider, Tzell Travel. Airfare is fixed if confirmed by their published date (TBA). There is an additional $40 fee per ticket for handling. Round-trip airport transfers are $89 per person.
